Are your tours safe?
According to our company policies, we don't market new tours if they are not safe to sell to our clients.
Do I need to be vaccinated?
On most of our tours, the answer is no. Any tours that require additional or specific vaccinations, we will inform you of all necessary information beforehand.
What currencies do you accept?
Currently, we accept US dollars and Euros.

What payment methods do you accept?
At this time, our primary method of payment is a bank transfer for the deposit and the rest in cash upon arrival at your destination.
What are Unrecognized Countries?
Unrecognized Countries are territories that have achieved de facto independence, yet have failed to gain international recognition as independent states.
What are Disputed & Annexed Regions?
A disputed region is a territorial dispute or disagreement over the possession/control of land between two or more territorial entities or over the possession or control of land, usually between a new state and the occupying power.
What are Autonomous Regions?
An autonomous administrative division (also referred to as an autonomous area, entity, unit, region, subdivision, or territory) is a subdivision or dependent territory of a country that has a degree of self-governance, or autonomy, from an external authority.
What are Frozen Conflicts?
In international relations, a frozen conflict is a situation in which active armed conflict has been brought to an end, but no peace treaty or other political framework resolves the conflict to the satisfaction of the combatants.
What's included in the tours?
Each of our destinations include different things. Generally they will include transporation, a guide and accomodation for our clients. Many of our tours also require and include visa and/or letter of invitation (LOI) assistance.
What are Private Tours?
Currently all of our tours are private tours. This means that there is no set date that any of our tours run. Once you contact us you can customize everything including; dates, destination, theme, and amount of people in your party.
How are deposits paid?
All deposits can be made through a direct deposit to our company bank account. They can be paid either in Euro or US dollars, regardless of the currency of the destination. Just choose what is most convenient for you.
What currency should I bring?
You should bring either Euros or American dollars as stated in the tour price to be paid upon arrival. For extra spending money, most of our destinations use currencies that are hard to find in Western countries (excluding Russian Roubles), so you will be given the opportunity to exchange once the tour has started.
Do you help to obtain visas?
Of course! We will help you with everything in order to make your tour as smooth as possible.
Can I go if I am American?
Currently there is no tour that we offer where Americans cannot go. Although, many of our destinations require tourist visas, which we will assist you with.
Will your tours affect my travel to other countries?
While most of our tours will not restrict your travel in any way, there are some noteable exceptions.
Are your tours ethical?
Short answer, yes. We are not in the business of exploiting anyone or anything. Our tours bring badly needed tourism to these little-known regions known as unrecognized countries. We work closely with local businesses and organizations to maximize the benefit for both our clients, a well as the inhabitants of our destinations.
Do you support seperatism?
We do not support any separtism or promote political movements that operate outside of the international norm.
What is unique about Political Holidays?
Our tours are carefully curated by our team of experts. Our destinations, as well as our itineraries, are hand-picked by our Political Holidays team and are always being updated.
Do you operate group tours?
Currently, we do not sell tours with set dates. All of our tours are private tours and operate whenever is most convenient for our clients. However, you are more than welcome to bring as many friends as you want. The most people you bring on your tour, the bigger the discounts!
I am a vegetarian, is this an issue?
Of course not! Just let us know about your diestary requirements before you go on your tour and we will take care of your meals in advance.
Do you book flights for me?
We do not include international flights in the price of the tour. Some of our tours have domestic flights included in the price and are part of the tour.
I have other dietary needs, is this a problem?
Nope! Just let us know before your tour begins and we will take care of your dietary needs in advance.
Do you provide insurance?
We do not sell personal or travel insurance at this time. However, we do recommend that all of our clients cover themselves in case of cancellation or in the event of an emergency.
What is your cancellation policy?
You are able to cancel your tour at any time before the starting date. However, your deposit (depending on your trip) is not able to be refunded.
Where is my money going?
Tourism is a major and badly needed part of the economies in our destinations.
What plugs do they use in your destinations?
Most of our destinations use European-style plugs. If you do not live in a European country, adaptors can easily purchased for you to use your electronics while on your tour.
Can I bring my cellphone, laptop and tablet on my tour?
Of course. Your personal electronics will generally not be subject to much scrutiny at the borders and you should have no isses bringing all of your main electronics that you would use at home.
What about tipping?
Tipping and gratuities are not included in the tours. If you enjoy your time and think that your guide or any other locals you encounter deserve a tip, you are more than welcome to do so!
